Position; Part Time Parent Mentor

 

Seeking candidates to serve as a parent mentor through Portage County Educational Service Center for 20 hours a week for 23 weeks.

 

Criteria;

• must be a parent of a child with a disability.
• Must live in one of the 5 following school districts; Aurora, Crestwood, Rootstown, Streetsboro or Windham
• Must have basic knowledge of special ed programs and laws
• Must be available during the school day
• Must be available to work with families in all 5 districts.

 

 

The parent mentor will help school districts by providing training, support and information services.
