Language Arts
Historical Fiction is the Genre in LA. We are using literature circles for our reading time. We continue to use centers to reinforce grammar and writing skills. Just a reminder that Paragraph of the Week should come home on Tuesday and be returned with a parent signature the following Tuesday, unless noted in the agenda that it was not assigned. We do not have spelling tests this year, but are using other strategies such as the "word wall" , "making words", "what looks right", and "vocabulary study" to understand and build our vocabulary.

Science
In Science we are continuing our study Weather. We have started to discuss fronts and will begin the water cycle after Thanksgiving.

Social Studies
The class in in the process of planning our second Ohio Native American Pow-Wow. Our class has selected to recreate the Miami Indian settlement. We will be working becoming the tribe for a day.
We will also continue our studies on Ohio from territory to state.

Math- The youngers are working on Multiplication and Problem Solving. Next on the agenda is division.
Olders are also working on division of larger numbers.
