I am currently the librarian at Henry Defer Intermediate in Streetsboro, Ohio. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Mount Union College and a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology/Library Media Sciences from Kent State University.
In my spare time I enjoy reading. My favorite children's authors include John Gantos (Joey Pigza Swallows the Key, Joey Pigza Loses Control, and What Would Joey Do?) and Andrew Clements (Landry News, Frindle, and many more.) I also like to watch CSI and Survivor on television.
One of my hobbies is traveling. In the past few years I have been to Alaska, Montana and Texas. One of my goals is to visit all fifty states by the time I am 35 years old.
I really enjoy teaching children in grades 4, 5, and 6. I love my job here at Henry Defer Intermediate School.
